Certificate in Hairdressing - Level 3

The Certificate in Hairdressing is delivered over 27 weeks and ensures you are able to hold an Intermediate stylists position in the commercial salon.

Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years on application and at least 2 year secondary education.  Prior to commencing the programme the completion of the National Certificate in Hairdressing (Salon Support) and work placement exposure is required.

 

This Certificate covers all unit standards in level 3 of the National Certificate in Hairdressing (Practice).

A basic Skills Test is completed to ensure that each individual’s hairdressing skills are at the appropriate level to ensure success on the programme.  Individual support and training Plans are put in place for each Trainee.

 

This option is for anyone keen to re enter the work force or complete/upskill their qualification.

A full equipment kit is required to be purchased and includes such items as: Commercial blow-dryer, scissors, brushes, combs, text books, manikin head and cutting package etc.

Course Content includes:

Delivery, practice and assessment

of unit standards in level 3 towards the National certificate in Hairdressing (Practice) and Work Placement.

 

 

 

 

Certificate in Advanced Hairdressing - Level 4

The Certificate in Advanced Hairdressing is delivered over 20 weeks and encourages you to hold an Intermediate to Senior stylists position in the commercial salon.

 

Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years on application and at least 2 year secondary education.  Prior to commencing the programme the completion of all units in level 1 and 2 in the National Certificate in Hairdressing (Practice), 20 credits minimum at level 3.  Work placement exposure is a requirement.

 

This Certificate covers all unit standards in level 4 of the National Certificate in Hairdressing (Practice) leaving only the 2 commercial units (2759 and 2757) to complete.

 

An intermediate Skills Test is completed to ensure that each individual’s hairdressing skills are at the appropriate level to ensure success on the programme.  Individual support and training plans are put in place for each Trainee.

 

This option for anyone who is determined to complete their hairdressing training and get qualified.  It is a great option for those wishing to re enter the work force.
