Still at school??

Aged between 16 and 18 years??

Then you can start training to be a hairdresser while you stay at school and complete NCEA!

STAR and Gateway programmes are available at most secondary schools in the wider Otago Region.  These programmes happen in the school holidays (July, September, October) so you need to be keen!!

The programme is 3 consecutive days in April and July holidays where you will enjoy the activities and programme in our training salon.  October will involve you completing Unit Standard assessments and visiting a commercial City salon. 

You will need to work a minimum of 40 hours in a commercial salon as well as working with us at the Academy.
