Why Study at Headquarters

              Hairdressing Academy ?

Established in 1994 the Academy was formally called a school and in 2006 changed its name to reflect the need to recognise the level of training it provides.

From entry level training while still at school through to full time advanced training the Academy can offer a training option to suit you.

The Academy is a registered and accredited Private Training Establishment with NZQA and the TEC and is based in South Dunedin.

All tutoring staff are qualified hairdressers with years of commercial hairdressing experience behind them.  Staff are kept up to date with the latest trends and fashions through commercial work exposure in Headquarters Hairdressing Salons and through attending workshops and educational seminars.  This ensures that you are always being trained in the latest techniques and styles.

There is a good mix of theory and practical work and skills are taught practically before moving into theory delivery.  Headquarters Hairdressing Academy operates a Training salon where you will be provided with "real life" experiences and clients
